Eleven seasons stocking nothing but spray and application parts
Pexalod has run the same Austin warehouse since 2014, and the boom sprayer parts catalog has stayed narrow on purpose: nozzles, filters, hose, fittings and pump seals, cross-referenced against TeeJet, Hypro, Arag and Wilger so an order goes out right the first time.
Since 2014
Seven people work the floor and the phones. Two of them do nothing else but match part numbers across brands, all day, every day the warehouse is open.
Who runs this
An Austin warehouse, not a franchise counter
Pexalod is a catalog business trading as pexalod.com, based at 164 Cedar Court, Floor 2, Austin, Texas 67482. It is not a manufacturer and it is not a chain — it is one warehouse in one city, opened in 2014, that decided early on to sell exactly one category of hardware and get good at it: the parts that clog, wear, crack or drip on a sprayer boom, and nothing that belongs to the tractor pulling it.
The name on the invoice is Pexalod. The people answering the phone are the same seven who pull stock off the shelf, which is a small enough number that a customer calling back about the same order usually gets someone who remembers it.
Eleven seasons in, the warehouse has not grown into a general farm-supply operation, and it isn't going to. A supplier rep tries to sell us tillage steel or seed inventory about twice a year. We say no. Carrying everything a farm might need means carrying nothing well, and this business exists because a customer with a cracked diaphragm at 6am on a Tuesday needs the right seal kit fast, not a big-box aisle to search.
What actually happens here
What we do, in specifics you can check against an order
None of this is abstract. It's the same four things, done on every order, whether it's one nozzle tip or a pallet of hose.
-
Cross-reference before dispatch
Every nozzle, filter and pump seal we stock is checked against its TeeJet, Hypro, Arag or Wilger equivalent before it ships, so the orifice size, thread and pressure rating on the part you receive match the part you're replacing. Two of our seven staff do this cross-check as their main job, not as a favor between other tasks.
-
Print the spec on the bag
A filter screen's mesh count goes on the outside of the bag, not buried in a nine-digit part code you'd need a counter clerk to decode. A worn nozzle throws a crooked spray pattern before it drips visibly, so the fan angle is printed too — check it, don't just wait for the leak.
-
Ship same day, before 2pm Central
Orders placed or confirmed before 2pm Central ship same day out of the Austin warehouse. After 2pm, it goes out the next business day. We say this plainly because a promised ship date that slips by two days is worse than an honest one that doesn't.
-
Stay narrow, refuse the rest
We do not sell tractor engine parts, tillage steel or seed. Spray and application hardware only — nozzles and tips, in-line and suction filters, layflat hose and reels, camlock and push-fit fittings, and diaphragm pump seal kits. If a supplier pitches something outside that list, the answer is no, because keeping the catalog narrow is what lets two people spend all day on cross-referencing instead of restocking everything under one roof.
Reach a person, not a queue
How to get someone at Pexalod on the phone or by email
Call +1 (948) 555-1303 during warehouse hours and you'll reach the Austin floor directly, not an answering service reading from a script. Email office@pexalod.com if the question doesn't need an immediate answer — a cross-reference request usually gets a reply the same business day, same-day dispatch orders permitting. The warehouse works Monday through Friday and Saturday morning; anything sent before 2pm Central on a business day is treated as same-day.
If you already know the part number or the machine model, send it — the compatibility check goes faster with a number in hand than with a description of the symptom alone, though we'll work from a symptom too.
Go to the contact pageThe seven people on staff split roughly into three jobs: two handle cross-reference and technical questions full time, three pull and pack stock in the warehouse, and two run the phones, the inbox and dispatch. It is a small enough crew that a returning customer's account history is usually one search away, not a ticket number buried in a queue.
We are not open 24 hours and we don't pretend to be. If you call outside warehouse hours, leave a message or send the part number by email — someone picks it up the next business morning.
Why the catalog stayed this narrow
A big-box farm store carries everything from seed to tillage steel to the sprayer parts you're actually looking for, which means the sprayer aisle gets whatever floor space is left over. Pexalod inverted that from day one: the whole warehouse is spray and application hardware, so the shelf space that would go to twenty other categories instead goes to more nozzle sizes, more mesh counts, more thread variants of the same fitting.
That focus is also why the cross-reference habit works. Trying to keep TeeJet, Hypro, Arag and Wilger equivalents straight across an entire farm-supply catalog would take a much bigger team than seven people. Doing it for five families of parts — nozzles, filters, hose, fittings, pump seals — is a job two people can actually stay on top of, season after season.
There's a tradeoff in that, and we say it plainly rather than dress it up: Pexalod will not always be the cheapest single source for one specific part. A big generalist distributor with volume pricing on one item might beat us on that item alone. What we won't do is ship a part without stating the spec that determines whether it fits — a cheaper nozzle in the wrong orifice size is still the wrong nozzle, and that mistake costs more in downtime than the few dollars it saved.
